CDU Hosts 2008 CESAFI Quiz Bowl

Last February 6, 2008, the CESAFI Quiz Bowl on General Information and Current Events was held at the Gymnasium of Cebu Doctors' University (CDU).

The inter-school competition started at 8 a.m. and ended at 4 p.m. The High School Division was held in the morning, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. after which the College Division followed in the afternoon at 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. respectively.

Felix O. Tiukinhuy, commissioner and head of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Incorporated (CESAFI) organized the event. The Quiz Bowl was also arranged by CDU's own: Athletic Director, Catherine F. Vestil, Languages Department Head, Dr. Veronica C. Abangan, the Contest Coordinator, Ian Done D. Ramos, and the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Asonita J. Parmisana.

It was truly a challenging contest to see which school's students were the most informed as the contestants sat on their assigned tables and chairs in pairs and raised their answers of multiple choices from A to D. The scores were tallied by the contest coordinator and projected onto the white screen where everyone could see their progress.
