New Physicians take Hippocratic Oath

Our new physicians took the Hippocratic Oath during ceremonies held last October 8, 6:00 PM, at the Cebu City Marriott Hotel in Ayala Business Park. Dr. Ricardo D. Fulgencio II, Chairman of the Board of Medicine of the Professional Regulation Commission, gave the Keynote Address and administered the Hippocratic Oath to the new physicians. Immediately afterward, Dr. Marilou Viray, President of the Cebu Medical Society, inducted the new physicians as members of the Philippine Medical Association and the Cebu Medical Society. ...

College of Medicine is 1st runner-up in University Week

The Cebu Doctors' University Student Affairs, Publications, and Public Relations Office (SAPPRO) announced today the over-all ranking of the different colleges in the recently concluded University Week celebration. The College of Medicine is 1st Runner-up among 7 competing colleges with 205 points, duplicating its 1st Runner-up finish last year, but improving on last year's 184 points. The College of Nursing was Champion with 266 points. John David R. Seno MD cops 20th place in August 2005 Board Exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 1,471 out of 2,864 passed the Physician Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine in the cities of Manila and Cebu this August 2005. The results were released in two (2) working days from the last day of examinations. Among the successful examinees who garnered one of the highest places was our graduate JOHN DAVID REGNER SENO, MD who obtained 20th place with a rating of 82.58%. ....

University Week on August 22 to 28

The faculty and students are busy preparing for the coming University Week that will be held from August 22 to 28, 2005. Because the College of Medicine garnered First Runner-up honors over-all last year, the students and faculty are determined to do better this year. The College is in charge of the Opening Ceremonies for the Intramurals that will be held at the Cebu City Sports Complex on August 23 starting at 7:30 in the morning.

AY 2005-2006 starts June 13

June 1, 2005

Classes for the First and Second Year Year will start on June 13, 2005. An orientation program will be held at the CDU Gym, preceded by the celebration of the Holy Mass at 8:00 AM.

Applications for 1st Year class AY 2005-2006 ongoing

CDU-CM is currently accepting applications for the First Year class of Academic Year 2005-2006.

PBL curriculum now in its 3rd year

The pioneer class utilizing the Problem-based Learning (PBL) method of teaching is now in the Third Year level. Classes started last May 9, 2005.

25th Commencement Exercises held last April 21

April 24, 2005

The Class of 2005 had their Commencement Exercises last April 21, 2005 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel at 3:00 PM. The members of Class 2005 are the first alumni of the College of Medicine after Cebu Doctors’ College became a university; therefore, they are the first to receive the new diploma with the words “Cebu Doctors’ University College of Medicine”.

PBL curriculum implemented
