Cebu Doctors' College of Arts and Science (CDCAS) was established in 1975 to meet government regulation that all baccalaureate degree programs should offer general education subjects during the first two years. Thus, basically, CDCAS is a service college.

Up until 1992, CDCAS offered only one four-year curricular degree program: the Bachelor of Science in Biology (BS Biology), a course generally used by graduates as a preliminary degree requirement for the regular medical course also offered in this institution. With the Department of education, Culture and Sports (DECS) permit granted in 1993, CDCAS offered the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

The College also offers two 2-year courses: Associate in Computer Science and Pre-Dentistry.
